Meeting transcription tools for Indian teams: English, Hindi and mixed calls

Indian English support is not Hindi support

Otter’s official documentation includes English and describes support for Indian accents. Hindi is absent from its supported transcription language list checked on 7 October 2026. Do not infer Hindi transcription from accent handling or from a chatbot translating an English transcript.

Fireflies lists Hindi and English (India). Language-list inclusion makes it a candidate for a trial, not proof of accurate speaker names, local vocabulary or Hindi-English switching.

Choose a test for your actual calls

One note-taking subscription may be enough

If two tools record the same call and both produce notes, compare the output people actually use. Keep one when it passes the language, export, sharing and integration tests. Keep a separate audio tool only if it solves a different problem you can demonstrate. Do not cancel until you have exported needed recordings and checked who owns the meeting archive.
